RIT Croatia welcomes its new generation of students

Starting from September 2, a new academic year unfolds at RIT Croatia. This year, we are thrilled to welcome 230 first-year students enrolled across four undergraduate programs; the generation that is a part of the global RIT family that includes 3,100 newly enrolled undergraduates.

Our campuses in Zagreb and Dubrovnik are now home to a truly diverse and dynamic group of students. An impressive 34% of our new students come from international backgrounds, representing 21 different nationalities. This vibrant mix of cultures and perspectives enriches our academic community, fostering a global learning environment that is one of the hallmarks of an RIT education.

The age range of new students spans from 17 to 26 years old, though the majority—about 80%—are 18 or 19 years old, ready to embark on the exciting journey of higher education. RIT Croatia also welcomes 15 students who have transferred from other universities, both in Croatia and internationally. While this might be their first experience at RIT Croatia, they bring with them valuable experiences that will contribute to the diversity and richness of the RIT Croatia community.

It is also delightful to welcome some familiar faces—or rather, familiar families—this year. Alongside the usual 10-12 siblings of our current students and alumni, RIT Croatia has the pleasure of welcoming two students whose parents are proud graduates of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program in Dubrovnik. These students are continuing a family legacy by joining the Global Business Management program in Zagreb, and it’s wonderful to witness alumni’s trust in RIT Croatia reflected in their children’s choice to follow in their footsteps.
