RIT Dubai graduate creates new platform to connect UAE padel community

A new platform, co-created by Emirati entrepreneur and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai graduate, AbdulAziz AlZarooni, is set to connect the growing community of padel enthusiasts who are taking up the trending racket sport across the UAE. The technology includes a dedicated feature for female participants looking to practice the sport at women-only sessions.

RIT Dubai alumni turn their talents to creative design in midst of global pandemic

Two graduates from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai have redeployed their university education to pursue their lifelong passion for professional fashion design, in a departure from the traditional career paths linked to their business and engineering degrees.

Mechanical Engineering student, Osama Mootassem, and Business Management major, Chrystel Anne Clasicas, graduated from RIT Dubai in 2018 and have since gone on to establish their own unique fashion labels, launching their brands in the height of the global pandemic.

RIT Dubai graduate's book to advance pathway to zero hunger

On a mission to support the global campaign for zero hunger, a Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai graduate published a book to share her findings on predicting staple crop yields in arid and desert climates. Using a branch of artificial intelligence known as machine learning, Hames Sherif has applied her graduate research studies to develop a model that could help farmers manage their resources more efficiently and aid long-term food security.
