Power Breakfast with John Perrotti on October 2, 2024

“We don’t sell machines—we sell intelligent systems.”
John Perrotti, CEO of Gleason Corporation

On Wednesday, October 2, John Perrotti will offer an insider’s view of how the company he heads, Gleason Corporation (Gleason), not only stays ahead in the Digital Age of manufacturing, but is leading it. The interactive discussion hosted by the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at RIT will offer a firsthand account of how Gleason has deployed Industry 4.0—using strategies like data connectivity and artificial intelligence—to become one of the most competitive makers of gear solutions in the world.

Perrotti will break down what a successful digital transformation looks like in manufacturing, offering practical lessons for digitalizing across operations, from the shop floor to the executive suite. The talk is perfect for anyone who wants to get past the hype when it comes to Industry 4.0 to find real-world examples of how digitalization can power growth.

Topics will include:

  • How to leverage Industry 4.0 to move from making products to delivering solutions
  • What matters—and what doesn’t—when it comes to digitalization
  • New frontiers in line and process automation
  • Global and local growth—getting the balance right

Attendees will be able to sign up for ten-minute private sessions with John. These will be a great way to ask a sustainability expert questions in a more confidential setting than the open Q&A session.
