English Capstone Reading - Mackenzie Rae Vanacore

Mackenzie Rae Vanacore, the first graduating senior in the new Bachelor's Degree in English, will give a reading from her final capstone project, entitled Everything As It Is. Mackenzie won the English Department's 2021 Creative Writing Award in Creative Non-Fiction AND Poetry, the 2022 Robert Root Endowed Award for Excellence in Literature, and was recently awarded a Leader Legacy Award from Campus Life. Her capstone project, a poetry/prose hybrid chapbook, maps out the liminal spaces of language, surrealism, and the unsteady ‘I’ to explore the limits of confessional and post-confessional writing. Please join us for what will be a wonderful reading!
