The Peace and Conflict Summer Program at RIT Kosovo provided me with an unforgettable learning experience. I had the opportunity to speak to human rights activists, survivors, OSCE heads, classmates and local individuals about how civil society and regional institutions could improve relations between different ethnic groups and practice transitional justice. Additionally, the courses in human rights and peacekeeping allowed me to gain experience in creating context-specific strategies that would help mitigate and transform violent conflicts, and advance peace processes. The program is one of a kind, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to travel through the Balkans and study in Kosovo.
