Originally from Scotland, Lorraina completed her graduate studies as an international student in Literature at the University of Rhode Island, USA. Her main areas of interest are cultural studies, critical theory, the literature of the city, and 19th century European literature. She has taught extensively at the university level in the USA, Northern Cyprus, and the United Arab Emirates.
