Fireside Chat with Vedat Gashi
RIT Kosovo recently hosted a memorable Fireside Chat with Vedat Gashi, Chairman of the Westchester County Board of Legislators. Born in Kosovo and later fleeing to the U.S. as a child, Vedat’s story is one of resilience, public service, and a commitment to creating positive change.
During the event, Vedat spoke about his journey from refugee to contributing to Kosovo’s state-building efforts, as well as his path into American politics alongside President Clinton.
He emphasized the critical role education and information play in shaping informed leaders and building strong communities. We are proud to have hosted such an inspiring event and look forward to fostering more discussions on leadership and community impact.
