Fulbright Student Researcher Laura Brumleve Joins RIT Kosovo
We are proud to welcome Laura Brumleve to RIT Kosovo as a Fulbright Student Researcher for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Laura holds a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from St. Olaf College and a Master’s in Library Science from Indiana University. Her academic interests center on materials accessibility, emerging technologies, and collective memory.
At RIT Kosovo, Laura is conducting research under the guidance of Dr. Leandrit Mehmeti, exploring the relationship between grassroots and formal archival systems in Kosovo. Her work aims to highlight the ways these systems interact and contribute to historical preservation.
Beyond her research, Laura is also engaging with students by contributing to the Introduction to Technical Communications course for the Spring 2025 semester.
We are excited to have Laura as part of our academic community and look forward to her contributions!

Professor Chad Austin Joins RIT Kosovo as a Fulbright Scholar
RIT Kosovo is proud to welcome Professor Chad Austin, a distinguished Professor of Law at the United States Air Force Academy and Fulbright Scholar, for the Spring 2025 semester.
With expertise in national security law, international humanitarian law, and negotiations, Professor Austin has taught courses such as War Crimes, Genocide & Human Rights and Law for the Air Force Officer. His scholarship focuses on teaching pedagogy and international humanitarian law, and he has presented on legal topics worldwide.
