Join us in welcoming Adelina Bekteshi Osmani to RIT Kosovo

I have a great passion for teaching and a strong background in computing and information technology, therefore I am very excited at the possibility of contributing to your institution.
My academic journey began at the University of Prishtina where I studied mathematics, which I had to leave because of the war. In 1998, I went to the United Kingdom where I earned a bachelor`s degree in Business Information Technology and a master’s degree in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University in London.

Since 1998, I have built an extensive work experience across various industries, managing diverse teams and acquiring excellent communication skills and expertise in the ever-evolving field of information technology.
For four years, I served as a lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering at AAB College and as a teaching assistant in the Department of Maths at the University of Prishtina. These four years were the most rewarding of my professional career, as my commitment to student-centred education have earned me respect and positive feedback from both students and colleagues.
My areas of interest include the analysis and modelling of user requirements, human-computer interaction, and databases. For the past eight years I have worked as a Data Manager for an international humanitarian organization, gaining invaluable experience in leveraging data to improve the lives of those affected by war.
I have closely followed the RIT`s journey and its contribution to the education of Kosovo`s youth. I have great admiration for RIT, particularly for its academic excellence, strong sense of community and the success of its students.
Above all, I aspire to inspire my students to love learning, think critically, work diligently, and become advocates for positive change in their communities and beyond.
