RIT Kosovo Appoints Xhavit Gashi as Director of the Fred Cuny Summer Program

Pristina, Kosovo – November 2024: RIT Kosovo is proud to announce the appointment of Brigadier General (Ret.) Xhavit Gashi as the new Director of the Fred Cuny Summer Program. Mr. Gashi, an honorary Major General, recently retired from a distinguished career in Kosovo's public service, where he held pivotal roles in both military and diplomatic spheres. His background includes being Kosovo's first Security and Defense Attaché in Washington D.C. and serving as Consul General in Iowa, where he played a vital role in strengthening international alliances.

Mr. Gashi’s appointment coincides with the launch of an Advanced Graduate Program within the 2025 summer session, a testament to RIT Kosovo’s dedication to academic innovation and global engagement. This new program offering broadens the curriculum, delivering advanced educational experiences that prepare students to excel in a globally interconnected world.
