RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) establishes the “One Scholar Program” in partnership with One Telecommunications

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is delighted to partner with One Telecommunications in establishing the “One Scholar Program” which will provide financial support to students enrolling at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K). One Telecommunications has pledged up to 50,000 Euros in the form of scholarship funds to enable talented students, primarily from Albania, the opportunity to obtain a high-quality American education at the RIT Kosovo (A.U.K).

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) and One Telecommunications have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the “One Scholar Program” which will cover 50% of tuition and fee costs for at least five students for four years of study.  Upon signing the agreement, Dr. Kamal Shahrabi, President and Dean of Faculty at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) thanked Mr. Emil Georgakiev, CEO of One Telecommunications, and the rest of the team for lifting up financial barriers for talented students with immense potential, especially in the field of Information Technology and Management-related studies. Dr. Sharabi expressed that “We welcome our partnership with One Telecommunications to provide talented students the opportunity to study at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) and we appreciate the vision in encouraging innovation and development through education.”

Mr. Emil Georgakiev stated that "We believe that a good education is an esential instrument of the economy development. In order to have professionals for the future, we should invest today. That is why we bring One Shcolar program that will identify talents who will contribute to a better economy and why not, welcome them in our company".

The Scholarship Selection Committee at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) awarded the first scholarships for two students from Albania who will be joining the Freshman Class at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) starting from Fall, 2022.

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is Kosovo's sole nonprofit higher education institution which teaches entirely in the English language. It is also the only institution in Kosovo whose degrees are accredited and recognized world-wide thanks to the partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York. RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is expanding its teaching programs and in the fall of 2021, it has introduced the Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Information Technologies (CIT).
