Spotlight on Professor Xhevahir Kolgjini: New York, I Love You!
We are proud to feature Professor Xhevahir Kolgjini in our Faculty Spotlight series. A renowned artist and professor at RIT Kosovo, Kolgjini is making waves in the international art scene with his upcoming exhibition, New York, I Love You, at AGI Fine Art in New York City. This exhibition, running from October 9-15, 2024, showcases contemporary works that celebrate the rich cultural diversity of New York City.
Kolgjini’s artwork uniquely combines traditional hand-woven tapestry techniques with modern themes. His Intertwined Polarities series stands out for its intricate geometric patterns and symbolic imagery, exploring the intersection of the spiritual and psychological. Deeply connected to his Albanian heritage, Kolgjini’s work invites viewers to reflect on the past while contemplating the future.
We invite you to celebrate with us and attend the opening reception on Thursday, October 10th, from 6-8 PM at AGI Fine Art, where you can meet Kolgjini and other innovative artists shaping the contemporary art world.
