Student Success: Lona Arifi’s Journey from Gala Speech to ProCredit Bank Internship

At RIT Kosovo, we take pride in providing students with real-world opportunities that shape their future careers. One such inspiring story is that of Lona Arifi, a TIVE scholarship recipient, whose life changed after participating in our Gala fundraising dinner in May 2024.

Lona, who is majoring in Economics and Management, delivered a heartfelt speech at the Gala about how the scholarship she received gave her access to a top-tier education at RIT Kosovo. Her speech resonated with key figures in attendance, including representatives from ProCredit Bank, leading to an invitation for an interview—and eventually, an internship position at the bank.

During her internship as a Compliance Intern, Lona applied her academic knowledge to real-world challenges, particularly in regulatory compliance, data security, and risk management. "The supportive environment at ProCredit enabled me to learn from dedicated and professional staff, providing me with valuable perspectives into industry practices," she says.

In addition to her professional achievements, Lona remains deeply committed to the RIT Kosovo community. She serves as a Teaching Assistant for Pre-Calculus and tutors in Financial and Management Accounting at the Academic Support Center, gaining skills in communication, professionalism, and teamwork.

Lona’s journey is a testament to RIT Kosovo’s commitment to hands-on learning and experiential education. We are excited to see all that she will continue to achieve in the future.
