Bio

Brikena Avdyli is an Adjunct Professor at RIT Kosovo, teaching Global Forces and Trends. She holds a master’s degree in International Development from American University in Washington D.C. and a Professionals Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University in NYC, U.S. Currently, Ms. Avdyli is doing her second master’s in Social Innovation and Management at the WU Executive Academy in Vienna.

This course examines various forms of social inequality, including economic, political, health, higher education, race and sex inequality. It uses a variety of sociology's ideas to explain why these kinds of inequality exist, how they persist and what can be done about them.
SOIS-335

This course focuses on the understanding of the global forces and trends that impact countries, organizations, and people across many dimensions. Student will learn concepts about global issues and examine the financial, cultural, political, environmental, military, technical, economic and demographic trends and forces affecting today's and tomorrow's organizations. Students learn to use critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills to envision the future and challenge thinking patterns. Readings, discussions, written assignments, and tests are part of the class.
