RIT KOSOVO (A.U.K)
Job Profile –
TDI Instructors– Part-Time Positions  

The Training and Development Institute (TDI) at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is seeking dedicated and motivated part-time instructors. TDI instructors will be hired on an as-needed basis, depending on the finalization of new courses. They will report directly to the TDI Manager.

1. Cisco Instructor

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Cisco courses, primarily CCNA and CCNP, and ensure students are well-prepared for certification exams.
  • Develop and update a curriculum that includes both theoretical and hands-on lab components to cover network fundamentals, switching and routing, IP connectivity, security fundamentals, and automation.
  • Customize training to meet different learning styles, ensuring students gain real-world skills in configuring and troubleshooting networks.
  • Conduct labs using Cisco simulation tools like Packet Tracer and GNS3, allowing students to practice configuring devices in a controlled environment.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, providing individualized feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest Cisco certification changes and technologies, incorporating updates into course materials.

   Requirements:

  • Certifications: Active Cisco Certified Instructor and CC Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise certifications.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years teaching Cisco networking or working as a networking instructor in a professional setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Additional Skills: Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS, security protocols, VLANs, IP subnetting, and troubleshooting; experience with virtualization tools and Cisco hardware preferred.

2. Microsoft Instructor

  Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) courses covering technologies such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, or other core certifications.
  • Develop course materials and exercises that align with Microsoft’s certification requirements, including hands-on labs on Microsoft platforms.
  • Provide students with insights into real-world applications of Microsoft technologies, especially in enterprise settings.
  • Offer guidance on exam preparation strategies for certifications, creating practice tests, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Update course content based on new Microsoft releases and technology updates.

 Requirements:

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, MCSA, or MCSE.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of teaching experience in Microsoft technologies or relevant IT support/administration roles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Additional Skills: Expertise in Azure and Windows Server environments, PowerShell scripting, familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform; ability to manage hybrid/cloud configurations.

3. Programming Instructor

  Main Responsibilities:

  • Instruct courses in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or web development frameworks (e.g., React, Django).
  • Create projects and exercises that foster programming skills, from basics like loops and data structures to advanced topics such as APIs and database integrations.
  • Teach software development life cycle (SDLC), version control (e.g., Git), and best practices in writing clean, efficient code.
  • Encourage project-based learning by guiding students through the development of individual and collaborative projects, simulating real-world team environments.
  • Mentor the students on best practices in debugging, code optimization, and documentation.

   Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Python Developer, Full-Stack Web Developer).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in programming or equivalent work experience as a software developer.
  • Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL), web server management, Agile methodologies, and software design patterns.

4. Cybersecurity Instructor

   Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach core cybersecurity concepts, including threat analysis, network security, ethical hacking, and incident response.
  • Design labs and hands-on exercises with tools like Kali Linux, Wireshark, and Metasploit, allowing students to practice ethical hacking and vulnerability assessments.
  • Instruct students on security best practices, compliance standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Guide students in preparing for certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP, helping them understand real-world scenarios and applications.
  • Update content regularly to reflect current threats, technologies, and industry trends.

 Requirements:

  • Certifications: EC-Council Certified Instructor (CEI), CompTIA Instructor with Security+ or CEH certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching or practical experience in cybersecurity.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, penetration testing, network intrusion detection, and risk management.

5. Business and Management Instructor

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Instruct on project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), covering core topics like scope management, risk analysis, and project budgeting.
  • Facilitate discussions and case studies on real-world project management challenges, encouraging problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Mentor students in preparing for the PMP exam, offering practice tests and tailored guidance.
  • Provide insights into digital tools for project management (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Requirements:
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)and other similar certifications.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a project management role, preferably with teaching experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles, excellent communication, and organizational skills.

6. Leadership and Management Instructor

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach leadership principles, team dynamics, organizational behavior, and conflict resolution.
  • Create a curriculum that fosters emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and performance management.
  • Use role-playing and simulations to help students apply leadership and management theories to real-life scenarios.
  • Evaluate students’ progress and offer mentorship for leadership skill development.

  Requirements:

  • Certifications: Certifications in leadership or management (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, or other relevant management certifications) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5 years in a leadership or management role, with at least some teaching experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Leadership, or a related field.
  • Additional Skills: Expertise in team building, motivation techniques, change management, and decision-making.

7. Sales and Customer Services Instructor

  Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach customer service fundamentals, sales techniques, and relationship management.
  • Develop practical training activities, such as role-plays, to help students improve communication and sales skills.
  • Provide guidance on CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and techniques for handling customer complaints effectively.
  • Mentor students on closing sales, building client loyalty, and managing long-term customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Industry certifications in sales or customer service (e.g., Certified Sales Professional).
  • Experience: 5 years in sales/customer service, with preferred teaching experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Additional Skills: Proficiency in CRM platforms, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of customer service standards.

Instructional Faculty-Adjunct Positions

The RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is searching for several positions of highly motivated and well-qualified instructional faculty (part-time) to teach several courses for the Computational Information Technology (CIT) program. The part-time instructional faculty will teach courses for the Fall Semester 2024.

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is a private, not-for-profit undergraduate institution. It is a leading institution of higher education in Southeast Europe and offers a degree in Individualized Program through its partner institution, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. The RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) campus is located in Prishtina, Kosovo’s capital and largest city.

Computational Information Technology (CIT) Part-Time Faculty

Applicants should have a minimum of an appropriate Master’s Degree. Preference is given to candidates with a Ph.D. and fluency in English. At least two years of teaching or studying in an American University or equivalent is desirable. Cultural adaptability and the ability to work effectively within a multi-ethnic environment are valued attributes. Vacancies exist for a one-semester (16 weeks) part-time appointment.
