    Students win Canon national design competition

    Undergraduate students in Irma Abu-Jumah’s Typography and Page Design course placed first in the Canon Solutions America—University Program Magalog Challenge this spring. They were among two schools and several teams that participated in the University Inkjet Program, the company’s annual student design competition.

    Automation in Printing

    As part of its ongoing efforts to engage students with the latest printing industry developments, RIT's Department of Graphic Media Science and Technology (GMST) recently sponsored a series of four presentations to the college community on automation in printing. The event was held on March 22, 2021, and coordinated and hosted by Dr. Barbara Birkett, the Paul and Louise Miller Endowed Chair.

    No timeout for RIT Esports during pandemic

    While many college athletics are on a timeout during the pandemic, esports at RIT are plugged in and fully operational. This semester, RIT Esports has student groups playing 15 different competitive games, along with four teams to support esports operations. As teams begin their fall leagues, students are finding different ways to practice and scrimmage in a socially distanced manner.

    College of Engineering Technology highlights alumni rising stars during campus ceremonies

    Five alumni from RIT’s College of Engineering Technology were honored with Rising Star awards during a campus reception last month. Given to alumni who graduated from CET within the past five to 10 years, the awardees were recognized for outstanding achievements early in their careers, for significant public service contributions and in helping to advance the careers of new professionals.
