Thirty-five high school students built and refined their portfolios for college applications during a two-week visual arts course taught by RIT School of Art faculty.

Whatever the hot topic is in politics, technology, entertainment and more, chances are Doug Chayka '96 (Illustration) has created art on the subject for a big client.

Founded by a group of RIT Alumni, the grassroots organization looks to put homemade masks and other protective equipment in the hands of Western New York front line workers.

Juho Choi '20 (Illustration) was commissioned to paint a mural and was accepted into the Society of Illustrators' annual Student Scholarship Competition. 

RIT had a strong showing at the Rochester Advertising Federation's annual ADDY Awards, which recognize student and professional excellence in marketing and advertising. 

A mural competition held by RIT Libraries has added a little pizazz to two study rooms on the third-floor of Wallace Library. RIT Libraries staff picked College of Art and Design students Nevada Scott’s and Juho Choi’s designs from 24 submissions.

The Mark and Maureen Davitt Graduate Education Endowed Scholarship was established with a $500,000 gift to RIT by Mark and Maureen Davitt to help graduates from the Rochester City School District pursue advanced degrees.

Nine RIT College of Art and Design students showcased wearable sculpture made through the creative use of various materials at Rochester’s annual Maker Faire. 

In support of the college admission process, prospective students from around the country received portfolio reviews from RIT faculty and reps from other leading art and design colleges.

Twenty-five students from various majors collaborated with Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) to develop recruitment strategies for RIT’s annual EUREKA! design workshop.
