RIT's Counter Strike 2 team won the 2023 Grand Finals of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Varsity Premier league—the most competitive league that NACE offers. This is RIT’s eighth national championship in esports.

Opportunities for students and employers abound at RIT University-wide Career Fair
Nearly 4,000 RIT students looking for co-ops, internships, or full-time employment are attending RIT’s University-wide Career Fair today in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center. Recruiters from more than 250 local, regional, and national employers are on hand, including General Dynamics, National Grid, Moderna, Redcom, Penske, Liberty Pumps, Wegmans Food Markets, and Samsung, among others.

RIT recognized as No. 98 in prestigious national university ranking by ‘U.S. News’
RIT is ranked 98th as a “National University” in the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges, jumping seven spots from last year. This list of 443 includes the nation’s best research universities that also offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.

Game design course immerses students in Japanese video game industry
There was an extra two weeks of class for some RIT students who ended their semester with a trip to Japan. The trip was the culmination of a Japanese Game Industry course last spring, where students learned about the world’s third largest video game market.

RIT’s Saunders College of Business will honor Kip Palmer with 2023 Vanden Brul Award
Dwight M. “Kip” Palmer, a fifth-generation CEO of Palmer Food Services and the Palmer Family of Companies, has been named the 2023 recipient of the Herbert W. Vanden Brul Entrepreneurial Award, given annually to a successful individual or individuals who developed a business that improved the Rochester economy or whose innovative management skills changed the course of an existing business or industry.
