Siblings explore the Mediterranean diet in Greece
When David, a third-year exercise science major, heard about the study abroad program offered through RIT Global, he was determined to go and to take his sister with him. In June, the Brassies left for the six-week program at Perrotis College, where they would study the Mediterranean diet and Greek culture.

Three student teams push the boundaries to improve society in new competition
Three student teams showed what technology, the arts, and design means at RIT. They designed technology to help astronauts keep physically fit in space, incorporated virtual reality to enhance signing and captioning support for the Deaf, and built a modern sculpture of the human body made of computers.

RIT wins award to develop game design training platform as part of NASA’s Moon-to-Mars Mission
RIT faculty-researchers will develop a game-design training system that could help astronauts maintain balance, motor skills, and other cognitive functions while in space. NASA, in partnership with the National Space Grant Foundation, has selected six university teams, including RIT, to develop innovative design ideas that will help NASA advance and execute its Moon to Mars exploration objectives.

Meet College of Health Sciences and Technology Dean Yong ‘Tai’ Wang
RIT’s College of Health Sciences and Technology began the year under new leadership with Dean Yong “Tai” Wang. Wang joined RIT in January from the University of Texas at Tyler. His research focuses on rehabilitative biomechanics related to wheelchair locomotion and Tai Chi exercise.

Army vet first to receive exercise science degree
