Job Description

H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm seeks a Civil CAD Technician Engineer to join our Parsippany Office to provide overall CAD support to our discipline engineers.

Job Responsibilities

Provide CAD drafting and design support for engineers during the planning, design and construction of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
Assist with the development and maintenance of standard drawing templates, details and graphic standards.
Utilize AutoCAD to translate mark-ups into drawings, check and plot drawings, correctly label final working drawings, and update contract drawings and specifications.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining standard drawing files in accordance with company standards.
Assist in field activities to gather project information.
Review all work for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate work and assist other disciplines within the office including Survey, Water/Wastewater, Environmental, Architecture, etc.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications:

Associate degree in design/drafting with AutoCAD/REVIT training from a recognized institution and at least 2 years prior design/drafting experience; OR 4+ years relevant design/drafting experience;
Proficient in Civil engineering/site development-based CAD drafting and the latest AutoDesk/AutoCAD software, including Civil 3D.
Experience with civil/site and infrastructure projects.
Ability to prioritize tasks to perform on multiple assignments concurrently.
High level of accuracy/thoroughness, attention to detail and speed.
Must have good communication skills and a commitment to meeting project deadlines and challenges while working in a team setting.
