Job Description

Recreation specialists and technicians perform most of their duties outdoors, which can include trail repair, campground maintenance, visitor information, and wilderness protection. We are looking to hire 3 seasonal employees for the summer season for a minimum of 10 weeks each. Employment can last up to 6 months.
You basically get to work in the beautiful Ponderosa Pine forests of Norther Arizona. The town of Fredonia is at about 3500 feet elevation and is warm, but the forest where you will be working ranges from 6,000 to 9,500 feet and is nice and cool. The is remote area next to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Government housing may be available.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older; high school graduate or equivalent, and valid drivers license. Must be able to work outdoors, perform manual labor, and work independently in remote areas Pay is dependent on education and experience.
The target grade level is GS-3 to GS-5. A high school degree will qualify you for GS-3, a combination of education or experience will qualify you for GS-4. a bachelors degree or relevant work experience may qualify you for GS-5. Hourly wage for GS-3 = $14.38, GS-4 = $16.14, GS-5 = $18.06.
