This position requires the provision of sensitive and effective communication with families according to individual family needs recognizing the diverse cultures and language backgrounds that are served by the program. This position also directs the families to community resources. Travel is required for delivery of services. Effectively schedule and conducts home visits and instruction both in person and via remote technology selecting and implementing the appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind children and as defined in their IFSP(Individual Family Service Plan)/IEP (Individual Education Plan) outcomes. Creates and maintains reports and documentation in compliance with federal and state laws. Requirements: TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies or related field of study required** **A minimum of 4 years professional Deaf Mentorship experience or from a related position may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Or a combination of education and experience, with experience granted on a year to year basis when accepting combination of education and professional experience.
