ABOUT THE ROLE
The Media Production Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the social media strategy of AIDB Special Projects (NRSC, REAL, CATT, and other programs). The Media Production Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing our media strategy in order to increase the online presence and brand awareness of AIDB Special Projects. You will prepare and distribute materials (hard copy and electronic), and coordinate with directors in purchasing materials, publications, etc. You will ensure that media publications align with AIDB’s accessibility expectations.
The Media Production Specialist will coordinate and manage the creation of digital content such as websites, handouts, presentation graphics, infographics, videos, etc. The Media Specialist will serve to standardize digital presentations and backgrounds used within Special Projects.
The position will work closely with the Special Projects Outreach coordinator and Office of Institutional Advancement.
ABOUT YOU
You will utilize your expertise in digital media strategies to focus on creating appealing and creative digital content and materials for AIDB Special Project’s various media platforms. You will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of AIDB Special Projects’ social media presence. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, versatile editor/designer, and a team player.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field
● Must exhibit excellent communication skills.
● Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
● Detail oriented
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including travel across the nation.
● Must demonstrate competency in working with both sensory impaired and non-sensory impaired (i.e. staff/parents).
● Must possess a sign language proficiency evaluation of INTERMEDIATE upon employment.
● Must provide documentation of sign language proficiency evaluation (SCPI available through AIDB.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Experience in social and/or digital media work, including planning and managing digital content.
● Understanding of graphic design principles.
● Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and other social media best practices.
● Knowledge of production and post-production workflow.
● Knowledge of video and audio compression technologies, software, and hardware
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
● Plan, design, edit and produce accessible video production (including captioning, voiceover).
● Formulate high quality, creative content for projects and digital media campaigns.
● Plan, design, edit and produce visual materials.
● Maintain high quality materials and video production.
● Manage and oversee digital media content.
● Stay abreast of the best practices and technologies.
● Utilize social media marketing tools such as Buffer.
● Manage user engagement.
● Build brand awareness.
● Help maintain the identity and reputation of AIDB Special Projects.
● Maintain and manage AIDB Special Projects’ social media channels.
● Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional and national media outlets.
● Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and other media and event appearances.
● Track, evaluate, and share results of public relations efforts.
● Meet with directors to create engaging audiovisual content that meets user needs and production objectives.
● Carry out tasks with little supervision.
● Understand the demand of production and align production capacity through appropriate scheduling and resource management.
● Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
● Perform other duties, including cross-campus duties, as assigned.

SALARY: $48,564 - $64,781 Scale PI Rank 50 (260 days)
Direct deposit is required.
This is an exempt position, and is not subject to overtime or compensatory provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
