To be more transparent with the alumni community and keep you all informed of what the NTID Alumni Association Board of Directors is doing, we have created this “From the NTIDAA Board” update, which we will regularly send out via Alumni News. 

Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend is an annual RIT tradition. This year’s event was October 14-16, celebrating families, students, alumni, staff, and friends of the university with one spectacular weekend. 

More than 30 employers returned to the RIT/NTID campus since the start of the pandemic to recruit a new cohort of talented deaf and hard-of-hearing students and alumni for open co-op or full-time positions.

On June 2, Sara Smania, assistant director of RIT/NTID Alumni Relations’ mentoring program, hosted an alumni gathering at Buffalo RiverWorks in Buffalo, New York, where fellow alumni met and socialized with new and old friends and learned more about programs and engagements.

On May 15, RIT/NTID Alumni Relations held a gathering at Streetcar 82 in Washington, D.C., where fellow alumni mixed and mingled and learned about the news from NTID and the alumni community.

Christine Sun Kim BS ’02 is an artist and is being honored by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

Marissa Woodruff, assistant director of RIT/NTID Alumni Relations, hosted a fun-filled alumni gathering in Indianapolis, Indiana. More than 100 people attended the event, which turned out to be a great success.
