The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at RIT, in collaboration with DEAFCYBERCON and ThriveDX, is proud to present the Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp specifically tailored for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals*. Powered by DEAFCYBERCON’s mission to create a pipeline of career opportunities in cybersecurity for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, this innovative partnership merges NTID’s rich history in education with ThriveDX’s expertise in cutting-edge cybersecurity training to deliver a world-class learning experience.
This immersive 32-week training program is live online using a state-of-the-art, project-based approach to deliver practical knowledge and rigorous professional development within the cybersecurity field. The program is designed for individuals with varying levels of technical expertise, from beginners to experienced professionals.
*This program is only available to adult individuals who are not matriculated in any degree program at RIT/NTID.

Eligibility Requirements
This comprehensive program is valued at $15,000 and is being offered for free through scholarships provided by ThiveDX and DEAFCYBERCON for 18 qualified applicants.
Enrollment is limited to 18 participants. We are looking for committed, motivated learners who can invest the time and effort needed to be successful in this course. Participants will be expected to attend seven hours of lecture per week, along with an additional five hours of self-study during the 32-week program. Participants have the option to enroll in a two-month certification preparation course for CompTIA Security+. Upon successfully completing this prep course, they will receive an exam voucher to take the certification exam.
To be considered for this bootcamp, individuals must:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be non-matriculated (not taking classes)
- Demonstrate professional-level English proficiency
- Complete an application form that includes questions on why you want to take this bootcamp
- Provide documentation of severe-to-profound hearing loss
- Complete an aptitude test and interview process
