About Us
The NTID Center for Workforce Development is a pioneering unit within the NTID Learning Consortium, dedicated to advancing workforce training opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing learners. We offer a wide range of non-credit programs, including certificates, boot camps, and workshops, tailored to meet the evolving demands of today’s job market. Through strategic collaborations with industry leaders and academic departments, NCWD is committed to fostering lifelong learning and career success.

Industry-specific Programs
10-week in-person Battery Technician Bootcamp in ASL
- Camp meets every Monday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm from May 19 – July 21, 2025.
- Earn the NENY Battery Technician Certificate and OSHA 10 card.
- Receive $1000 stipend after completing the program.
- Apply by May 2nd.
Professional Development Programs
CEUs available for all programs.
Research and Statistics
Learn about the latest research and data on employment trends, challenges, and opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in the workforce. NCWD is dedicated to using evidence-based practices to inform our training programs and advocate for greater workforce inclusion.

NTID’s Co-op and Career Center
NCCC provides job readiness and transitioning skills for participants and accessibility training for hiring managers.
