Bio

Christopher Kurz is a Professor for the Masters of Science in Secondary Education program and director of the Mathematics and Science Language and Learning Lab at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester Institute of Technology.His research interests include content language and literacy in mathematics and science, Deaf experience with math and science learning, ASL/English bilingual education, gaming, and international deaf literacy and sign language documentation. He earned a PhD in Foundations of Education from University of Kansas and a BS in Applied Mathematics from RIT.
