GOALS OF NDG
- To engage ALANA faculty, staff and students in partnerships and collaboration.
- To function as a resource for the RIT/NTID community.
- To enhance the work climate experience for ALANA faculty, staff, and students.
- To provide professional development opportunities and career advancement for ALANA faculty and staff.
AREAS OF FOCUS
RIT Community Involvement
- Continuous collaboration and partnerships with cross-functional departments within the RIT/NTID community.
- Support the RIT Diversity framework, aligning with NTID's Antiracism and Social Justice Plan.
- Share campus resources and support individuals as needed.
NTID Community Involvement
- Interview candidates for administrative roles.
- Providing a safe space for ALANA voices, input, and insight to be heard.
- NDG will share community concerns with the President's office.
Professional Development
- Mentor young faculty and staff.
- Increase ALANA representation in leadership roles.
- Promote and encourage networking.
NDG as a Resource
- Provide ALANA perspectives on strategic planning committees, projects, and initiatives.
- Mentor students.
