Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf announces the launch of InterpNET, a resource database for educators and students in interpreter education programs, deafness-related organizations, and anyone interested in expanding their knowledge.
Information is categorized by Books and Journals, Interpreter Resources, Resources by U.S. State, Deaf Life and Culture, and includes foundational texts, instructional materials, and community-focused content.
“InterpNET is a crowd-sourced platform that provides access to a growing collection of materials,” said Kierstin Muroski, assistant professor in NTID’s Department of ASL and Interpreting Education, and creator and curator of InterpNET. “We see InterpNET as a ‘one-stop shop’ that streamlines the process for individuals and organizations seeking information and resources related to sign language and deafness.”
