Dr. Risa Robinson works as the head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at RIT and directs the Respiratory Technologies Laboratory, which she established. Research within the lab is centered on developing systems which evaluate new tobacco products, focusing mainly on the behavior of inhaled particles as a means to study the toxicological impacts of these products. Further projects within the lab include the design of replica lung models to show diseased and healthy systems and their functions.
