NTID The Street

NTID is dedicating space in LBJ Hall to showcase the college’s rich history and celebrate the tremendous success of our alumni.

  • To be named “The Street,” this space will:
  • Provide a narrative of NTID history that celebrates the common experience shared by students and alums.
  • Showcase alumni success stories, with a focus on diversity in career areas, geography, enrollment years, cultural backgrounds, and degree levels of our graduates.
  • Be a place where:
    • alumni can gather, relax, interact, and feel welcome.
    • current students can gather and learn more about graduates from a variety of backgrounds and career areas.
    • prospective students and families can browse to get a deeper understanding of some of the impressive things our graduates have done after obtaining an RIT/NTID education.
    • visitors to Panara Theatre can spend time learning more about NTID’s history and its alumni.

Example rendering mock-up, stay tuned for updated renderings soon.

Various exhibits (a combination of both electronic and physical displays) will focus on unique topics that reflect important aspects of NTID’s history and the alumni experience. The Street exhibits will combine some permanent displays with rotated displays to be updated regularly to keep the information fresh. The majority of The Street displays will be on the second floor of LBJ Hall and will feature topics such as NTID history, student life, alumni success stories, and more.
