- Automated Tool for DNA Size Selection
The PippinHT system serves as an automated tool for DNA size selection in NGS applications. Leveraging the company's esteemed sizing technology, PippinHT enhances throughput to 24 samples per run, a substantial increase compared to the maximum of five offered by Pippin Prep or BluePippin. This instrument provides an efficient and automated solution, particularly beneficial for scientists operating busy sequencing labs, core facilities, and other laboratories involved in generating large-scale sequencing data. Within our lab, we utilize the PippinHT instrument for precise size selection in all genomic DNA sequencing libraries. This strategic approach helps us avoid generating redundant data for short insert library molecules, where reads might otherwise overlap. The precise size selection also prevents the production of lower quality data caused by library molecules that exceed optimal length, such as those longer than 600.
