Roberto Bertoia explores site, context, material, and craft as it relates to his investigation of isolation, absence, and presence at the intersection of sculpture, landscape, architecture, and design. Bertoia, Associate Professor at Cornell, has taught sculpture and drawing for 30 years. Bertoia has exhibited in national and international juried and invitational exhibitions. He has been commissioned by Winston-Salem State University and the University of Binghamton. Roberto Bertoia completed his BFA in sculpture in 1978 at the University of Windsor-Ontario, and his MFA in sculpture at Southern Illinois University in 1982. Curated by Josh Owen, Program Chair, Professor, Industrial Design, School of Design, RIT College of Art and Design and former student of Roberto Bertoia.
