NSF ADVANCE Program

Letter of Intent Due Date(s) (required) (due by 5 p.m. submitter's local time):

Letters of Intent are only required for Adaptation and Partnership tracks. Submitting a letter of intent automatically allows you to submit a full proposal. Work on the full proposal should have started well before the letter of intent deadline.

FY 2022 DoD Multidisciplinary Research Program of the University Research Initiative (MURI)

The Department of Defense has released the new Multidisciplinary Research Program of the University Research Initiative (MURI) Funding Opportunity Announcement. DoD's MURI program addresses high-risk basic research and attempts to understand or achieve something that has never been done before. The program was initiated over 25 years ago and it has regularly produced significant scientific breakthroughs with far reaching consequences to the fields of science, economic growth, and revolutionary new military technologies.

NSF Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)

NSF has published the new program solicitation for AGEP.

Revision Notes: The Transformation Alliance track was discontinued. Three new tracks have been offered: The AGEP Catalyst Alliance (ACA) track, the AGEP Faculty Career Pathways Alliance Model (FC-PAM) track, and the AGEP Institutional Transformation Alliance (ITA) track. The FC-PAM track will only be funded in FY2022-FY2023 and it will be discontinued thereafter.

NSF Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) announced

NSF's Directorate for Engineering recently released a solicitation titled Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) (NSF 21-574) for new academic researchers in non-R1 institutions. This opportunity aims to broaden the base of engineering researchers who have not yet received support from Federal Agencies. The ERI award, including indirect costs, must not exceed $200,000 for a duration of 24 months. Submission deadline will be June 18, 2021.
