Tiger Testing Team helped administer thousands of COVID-19 tests at RIT
Thousands of COVID-19 tests were completed on campus for RIT students this semester. And more than 65 RIT staff members volunteered—often with little advance notice—with the Tiger Testing Team to set up testing stations and walk students through the process of sample collection.

RIT to offer departure COVID-19 testing before break; additional testing ramps up next semester
RIT President David Munson said voluntary, free COVID-19 testing will be made available to a few thousand students prior to their departure for Thanksgiving break to help prevent the possible spread of the virus.

This past weekend we continued to experience a rise of COVID-19. Rates of infection have increased to the point where we must elevate our COVID Alert Level to Orange. This will prompt changes in the way we operate for the remainder of the semester.

A new resource is available at RIT to help faculty and staff find information about common indicators of student distress. Called the “Red Folder,” it offers tips on how to best help a student in distress by providing a decision tree and detailed list of resources on and off campus.

Odessa Despot appointed to South Asian American Digital Archive board of directors
Odessa Despot, staff psychologist with RIT’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS), has been appointed to the board of directors for the South Asian American Digital Archive. The nonprofit organization aims to create a more inclusive society by giving voice to South Asian Americans through documenting, preserving, and sharing stories that represent their unique and diverse experiences.
