Crowds gathered on Saturday, July 20, for Rochester’s annual Pride Parade, celebrating the local LGBTQIA2S+ community. Nearly 100 faculty and staff members, students, and alumni were among the crowd representing RIT.

High school students discover the big impact of tiny microchips during Chip Experience
The immersion, which allowed students to create their own microchip projects, provided full tuition for the week, a $500 stipend per student, housing, meals, and transportation.

RIT, partners awarded $40 million to boost the semiconductor industry across the region and nation
RIT will be part of a NY SMART-I Corridor Technology Hub focused on semiconductor manufacturing and innovation. The Corridor Tech Hub, one of 12 Tech Hubs in the nation, is expected to bring $40 million in federal funding to the region.

Student filmmakers at RIT will have a new opportunity to strive for, thanks to a collaboration between RIT and WXXI. RIT Shorts, a new, biannual series that will showcase student-made films, is set to premiere this month on WXXI-TV, a PBS-member station.
