Note: Jordanne Ringwald ’09 (CAST) recently celebrated her 2nd anniversary as founder of Risus Talent Partners (Rtp). Since Jordanne founded the company with her two business partners, they have placed over 600 employees in key positions throughout the Northeast. Jordanne has partnered with many RIT alumni on both the client and job seeker side. Services offered include direct placement search, recruitment process outsourcing and HR consulting. Risus (R-EYE-Sus) is Latin for “laughter.” Risus Talent Partners is English for “Your talent challenges are important; let’s partner to solve them.”

Note: Michael Dailey ’81 (CAST) has retired after a 42-year career in software engineering. He is volunteering as a mountain patrol ranger at Mt Monadnock State Park in Jaffrey, NH, and this summer as a volunteer naturalist for the Appalachian Mountain Club’s New Hamphire White Mountain Backcountry High Huts.

Note: James (Jim) Smith, PE, RCDD, has been promoted to principal of BCE Engineers. Jim has spent the last 16 years with BCE and has not only helped establish BCE as a leader in telecommunications design, but he has directly contributed to the growth of the company’s electrical department through his work on nationwide Department of Defense (DoD) contracts, tribal projects, and port work. Jim states, “My goal as an owner is to ensure that BCE continues to provide the innovative design solutions we are known for. The construction industry is constantly changing and evolving, and I intend to help the BCE team stay at the forefront. I will continue to do my best to act in our client’s best interests and provide solutions that exceed client expectations for years to come.”

Note: Miguel Flores ME ’18 (KGCOE) recently had a research paper admitted and published by Scientific Reports Journal, which is a Q1 Journal. It was thanks to RIT that I could get it. Studying at this great institution has improved my career and professional perspectives. I would love to work in more projects and researches with fellow alumni. Our published work is: Novel data dependent divider circuit block implementation for complex division and area critical applications. Note: Jim Englert ’74 (CCE), founder of High Falls Advisors, was named a Financial Leaders 2023 honoree in the lifetime achievement category by the Rochester Business Journal and the Rochester Chapter of Financial Executives International. Jim co-founded High Falls Advisors in 2008 after a career with Eastman Kodak Company and today – at age 79 – still works daily helping his clients pursue their financial goals and mentoring employees.
