RIT climbs to No. 91 nationally in ‘U.S. News’ best colleges ranking

RIT students use collaborative spaces in the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) to foster and stimulate creativity, collaboration, and discovery.

Rochester Institute of Technology has risen to #91 in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings—its highest ranking to date. This reflects a solid jump of seven spots from last year, highlighting the progress as a top “National University.” RIT was also cited for “Best Value,” co-ops and internships, undergraduate teaching, and overall investment. By leveraging the power of technology, the arts, and design, we are increasingly gaining recognition as a university that provides a stellar education.
