Student Government Welcomes Marin Grabovac as President and Introduces New Leadership Team
As the academic year 2023/2024 ends soon, transitions are underway within the Student Government (SG) at RIT Croatia. With farewells to departing senior members and those embarking on Erasmus exchanges or Study Abroad programs, the focus now shifts to welcoming new leadership. We are pleased to announce that Marin Grabovac, an HTM freshman student, has been elected as the new President of the RIT Croatia Student Government, overseeing both the Zagreb and Dubrovnik campuses.
In a statement filled with enthusiasm and gratitude, Marin expressed deep honor at assuming the role of President. With over 800 students enrolled at RIT Croatia’s campuses and a dedicated team of over 30 SG members, Grabovac highlighted the commitment to fostering a vibrant university experience. Weekly events, celebrations, and various initiatives are on the agenda; all aiming to enhance student well-being and engagement.
Reflecting on the significance of his new position, Marin emphasized the opportunity for personal growth and leadership development. “I see this role not only as a chance to contribute to the student community but also as a stepping stone towards future leadership roles. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and I pledge to hit the ground running towards even greater success of our Student Government for the benefit of all of our students”, said Marin.
The new leadership team, announced alongside Marin’s presidency, includes members from both the Zagreb and Dubrovnik campuses. Notable appointments include Toni Katanušić and Jana Krstić as Vice Presidents for the Zagreb and Dubrovnik campuses, along with Eni Vidulić, Naomi Strejček, Orest Kisi, Tita Butić, Leonela Krajac, and Lea Gugić, who will take on various roles within the Student Government.
