I took peer-tutor sessions for GCIS 123 with Aaina as tutor about a year ago. I was able to learn and grasp so much of the course material thanks to her. Her teaching style involves open conversations and discussions, which helped me a lot. Her friendly nature allowed me to openly ask doubts and share my class concerns. She also proactively went over my exam paper with me and helped identify my mistakes and correct them, which I was super grateful for.

Last year, I had reached out to ASC to help me with my academics. The first year was really overwhelming and I couldn’t see myself any further struggling with my core courses, particularly GCIS 123 and UWRT 150 (since I’m a CIT Major). With the ASC’s support, thankfully, I gained study tips, resources and one-on-one tutoring to better clarify my concepts. Moreover, I was able to analyze content and have a broader view of the concepts. Thank you ASC !!

I was introduced to Aron George through our professor, who recommended him as a tutor for our Classical Control course, one of the more challenging subjects in our Electrical Engineering syllabus. The course is very math-intensive, and I personally struggled with integrals and differential equations. Aron has been incredibly flexible with his time and always willing to help, even if it meant explaining the same concept multiple times.

As discussed, I will talk about my tutoring experience with the Academic Support Centre. I am currently getting help from Mohammed Malik Rizni for college algebra. So far, my experience with Malik has been absolutely amazing, and the way he creates an amazing teaching environment is phenomenal! The explanations are quick and concise, with them also being so clear that I had absolutely no problem studying and absorbing the same material I was struggling with in class.

I won’t lie to you guys. When I joined RIT I thought the ACS will be Useless however 3 years and having finally used it in 5th semester. I can scream from top of my lungs that ACS has been saving my life. All thanks to Malik. Without his help I am certain I would have already dropped one of my courses. Sometimes he does an even better job than the professors in explaining concepts. He is always ready to set up a time that is easier for me to meet.
