Bio
Ellen Yang joined RIT Dubai in 2011 and is currently the Assistant Director for Academic Advising at RIT Dubai. She manages the Advising Office for the Dubai campus and also advises students in the BS Mechanical Engineering, BFA New Media Design, MS Mechanical Engineering, and MS Engineering Management programs. Her oversight includes Scheduling, Registrar Services, and the Global Scholars program. Previously, she developed and taught the Year One course for the Dubai campus.
Ellen is a certified School Counselor in the states of New York and New Jersey, and prior to joining RIT, was a Guidance Counselor in schools in the US and in Dubai, UAE. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennslyvania, having double majored in the Biological Basis of Behavior and Economics. She also holds a Master of Arts and Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology (School Counseling) from Teachers College, Columbia University.
