Fitness Services
Wellness Education offers a variety of Fitness classes including a Personal Training class where students work 1-on-1 with a trainer regarding their specific fitness goals. Students can register for this course or other Wellness Courses using SIS.
The Wiedman Fitness Center offers a variety of fitness services to RIT students. Whether you want to make changes to your present program or safely and smartly begin a new program, we can help you attain your goals! Services include:

Fitness Programs
Join our certified student personal trainers as they work with you on various fitness-based exercises. Whether you are a beginner, or you have experience, our trainers will teach you all of the fundamentals and technical aspects you need to know.
- Women in Weightlifting
Want to start strength training in supportive group setting? With the help of a WFC Personal Trainer, participants will learn how to use barbells, kettlebells and dumbbells to increase strength, mobility and confidence in the gym. The first hour will include instruction on various strength exercises and the opportunity to get hands-on help with your lifts. The second hour will be a private group lifting session. - Monthly Clinics
The Wiedman Fitness Center offers monthly clinics that focus on a broad range of topics to appeal to both beginner and experienced lifters. These clinics are run by the WFC personal trainers and are free to RIT students.
A variety of other fitness programs and events are available throughout the year.
Faculty/Staff and Community Members
Better Me
Better Me personal training is a one-on-one or small group service available to RIT members that are searching for fitness coaching or workout accountability. Better Me services are available to faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni at any time throughout the year.
