Kirk Lansman '11 (3D Digital Design) has worked at DreamWorks Animation since graduating, first as a character technical director and now as a software engineer.

John Dodd, an instructor in RIT’s College of Art and Design for more than 40 years, is the sixth recipient of the Edline M. Chun Award for Outstanding Teaching and Service. The award, named in honor of the late RIT adjunct professor Edline Chun, has been given annually since 2014 to a faculty member who exemplifies excellence and dedication in teaching to an affiliated school in the College of Art and Design.

The collaborative nature of MAGIC Spell Studios gives RIT students such as Chris Robinson the unique opportunity to create, develop and publish digital media projects alongside students and faculty from a variety of colleges and departments.

Kate McFadden ’12 (3D digital design) has shined bright since graduating with more than a dozen screen credits that encompass a range of major motion pictures, animations and an ever-popular Netflix series for her lighting work. 

RIT College of Art and Design faculty, and an alumna, will be heavily involved and featured in numerous panel discussions and exhibitions that are part of a brand-new, technology-focused event in Rochester.

Two acclaimed virtuosi—clarinetist Maksim Shtrykov and pianist Misuzu Tanaka—will perform at 8 p.m. March 31 as part of the Performing Artists Concert Series, presented by RIT’s College of Liberal Arts.
