Graduating students marked 100 days before commencement by attending the annual Graduation Fair. The fair is intended as a one-stop opportunity to gather important information related to commencement weekend, May 19-20.

The speaker series, sponsored by the RIT Newman Catholic Community, focuses on faith on college campuses. People of all faiths are welcome to attend.

    Ron Ricotta ’79 (accounting) celebrates the dedication of the Ronald S. Ricotta Wrestling Locker Room on Feb. 6. The expanded and renovated wrestling room includes custom made lockers, new flooring, lighting, furniture, and audio/visual equipment made possible due to a generous donation to the program by Ricotta.

    RIT’s College Activities Board hosted its annual Super Bowl party in the Gordon Field House on Feb. 5. The game was projected and captioned on a giant screen. The free event included pizzas, wings, prizes and giveaways. Shown here, RIT/NTID alumnus, Kriston Lee Pumphrey, signed the National Anthem and “America, the Beautiful” during the pre-game ceremony.

    More than 110 girls visited RIT on Feb. 4 to learn about technology, engineering, computing and science at the Girls Soaring in STEM Fair. The annual event is hosted by RIT’s Women in Science, Women in Computing, Women in Technology and Women in Engineering groups.

    Gallery r, RIT’s metro art space in downtown Rochester, N.Y., is featuring an exhibition of photographs by RIT Professor and Chair of the Photojournalism Program William Snyder. Picturing The Who includes photographs of the legendary band, ephemera and video. The show is on view through Feb. 25. with an artist talk at 5 p.m. on the closing day.     President Bill Destler was guest coach Feb. 3 at the RIT women’s basketball game against Clarkson University. “I will do my best to support the team,” Destler said, “but I’ll also know when to stay out of the way and let the coaching staff and players do what they do best. Go Tigers!” The RIT team defeated Clarkson 78-66.

WiC is dedicated to promoting the success and advancement of women in their academic and professional careers and works with young women in K-8, prospective students in high school and current students at RIT.
