Job Title: Design Intern

Job Description:
Signed By Stories is a platform run by deaf mental health professionals and
advocates with diverse, unique skills and experiences. The Signed By Stories
platform is designed for the deaf community to share their mental health
stories, while also serving as a resource hub on mental health access.

We are looking for a part-time graphic design intern to create social media
graphics and design the website. Two deaf/hard-of-hearing professional
designers will guide the intern on art direction. All completed work may be
added to the intern’s portfolio.



Requirements:
* Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Graphic Design, New
Media, Visual Media, Visual Communications Studies, or related fields
* Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL)
* At least 2-3 creative work samples shared in PDF form or via online
portfolio, showing crafted graphics, typography, design using modern, vibrant
colors
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Adobe Acrobat
Professional, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
* Experience with web design (creating flowcharts and sketching wireframes),
with Adobe XD experience preferred 
* Knowledge of Canva preferred 
* Proactive approach to time and task management
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Available to work 15-20 hours per week, remote
