NTID Co-op and Career Center (NCCC)

My VCS program at NTID taught me the basics I needed - graphic design, typography, Adobe software, page layouts, production work, raster and vector graphics, Illustrator, Photoshop, and how to prototype and visualize end goals.

The classes really helped, I enjoy the production courses where we learn how to make mugs, shirts and posters. They’ve taught me how to use those machines and so that would definitely be beneficial for when searching for a job after I graduate.

I learned a lot from my peers, my counslers, and my beloved professers. The science aspect is very interesting and has helped me broaden my horizons.

My co-op allowed me to expand my skill set beyond the cybersecurity courses I’ve taken. While software development was different from my classes, I chose this co-op to broaden my knowledge and explore new areas.

My coursework in basic biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology prepared me to read academic publications and understand my research projects more fully.

Computer technology is a highly demanded area so I have a good foundation from RIT/NTID to do well in my career and in life.

RIT/NTID has helped me develop technical skills… as well as soft skills like communication and problem-solving. I’ve also gained real-world experience through my co-op, which has been invaluable.

I was able to apply what I learned in class to my job, making the connection between academics and professional experience very strong.
