Job Description:
This position will function as a Camp Support for the Statewide Outreach
Center's (SOC) Summer Camps and Program.  We are seeking upwards of 3-4 staff
members who will function as a media team, taking photographs/videos ,
editing pictures/videos, preparing them for distribution (social media,
brochures, etc.) during the various camps and programs we offer during the
early months of summer.  We will also additionally have additional events
where staff will work to capture pictures and videos for.  During the
duration of the program, we will have a list of shots we are seeking so Camp
Support media team members will have an idea of what type of photograph and
video media SOC desires.
Additional information:
-Our internship will be paid.
-Room and board will be provided (food is provided when the cafeteria is
open).
-Our camps and programs are located at various areas of Texas- Austin,
McAllen, Burnet, however most of them will be in Austin.
-The interns will most likely be working 50 hours a week during the peak
times of camp/programs.
-The start date will be most likely May 30 or May 23 for training as our
camps/programs will start June 5th, and the end date will be July 15 or 22.
-Since there will be several different camps though the summer, interns can
expect to be moving around various camps.



Requirements:
Experience with photography and/or videography
Experience with media editing programs
Applicants are expected to bring their own photography/videography equipment
Must be available for the duration of the program. Apart from illness or
emergency, any requests for time off must be approved at the time of the
interview.
Sign Language: The ultimate required proficiency level for the position using
the levels designated in the Signed Communication Proficiency Interview
(SCPI) is ADVANCED.
