Username: kccned Company Information ------------------- Company Name: RIT Website: https://www.rit.edu Job Information --------------- Job Title: DLS Student Social Media Assistant Job Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP Address: Rochester, New York. 14623 Job Description: • Work closely with DLS’s Social Media Team on a variety of social media tasks and projects. • Develop announcements, flyers, photos, and videos for social media posts. • Take photos and videos of the department faculty, staff, and students on campus. • Participate in meetings with the team and supervisor. • Monitor the department’s Facebook and Twitter accounts and review analytics to assess success and recommend future improvements, including strategies to increase followers and engagement. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: 1. Excellent signing and writing communication skills. 2. Strong knowledge and experience in the area of social media. 3. Experience with design software. (Experience designing social media graphics, photos, and videos is a plus). 4. Ability to work independently, and with faculty/staff, as well as other student assistants. 5. Flexible, and willing to learn different routines, tasks, and social media tools. 6. Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. 7. Committed to creating an environment that embraces all students, faculty, and staff at RIT/NTID. 8. Knowledge and experience in the area of digital marketing is desired, but not required. 9. Experience writing image descriptions (ID) and alt-text is an asset, but not required. Required Knowledge of: Facebook, Twitter, Zoom, MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT); Canva or other design program; iMovie or other Movie Editor; Dropbox. Video captioning/subtitling experience is a plus.
