Job Description | Reporting to the Director of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices, the Student Accountability Coordinator (Residence Conduct) primarily responds to residence hall student behavior that is in conflict with the conduct expectations and values reflected in the Student Code of Conduct, Residence Hall Policies or other applicable University policies. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Residence Hall Conduct and Restorative Practices Receives and addresses complaints of alleged student violations of the residence hall policies using established adjudication procedures; exercises judgment regarding the resolution of complaints utilizing a spectrum of resolution options which may include dialogue, conflict coaching, facilitated dialogue, mediation, restorative practices, shuttle diplomacy, and informal or formal adjudication consistent with student learning outcomes; and assists and supports residents in their growth and identity by providing support, mediation, crisis intervention and follow-ups through a culturally competent lens. Campus Community Outreach & Education Assists the Director or the Program Manager with training for residents and residence hall staff on University and residence hall policies, the student conduct process, student conduct database, resolution options, and other related topics. Other Responsibilities Serves as a member of the Alcohol and Drug Committee, Student Affairs Restorative Practices Team, and other related committees. |
Requirements | SPECIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications (When the candidate’s resume meets these qualifications, it will be screened in.): Bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, education, or related human behavior field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Qualities that will help the incumbent be more successful in the position): Excellent rapport skills and strong writing skills. The incumbent must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, as the need arises.
