Job Description:
Are you a 2025 or 2026 student looking for a summer 2024 Internship?

PPG Primers Internship Program is a highly selective program with the primary
goal of developing PPG’s future leaders.

The program kicks off with a Spring 2024 Primer Insight Day, an Intern
focused program giving selected students the opportunity to build
professional skills and engage with top leaders in PPG’s businesses and
learn about our organization before the Internship Program. Our 2024 Primer
Insight Day will be hosted virtually in March or April 2024.

After our Insight Day, Primers will be able to choose an internship or co-op
track giving them the opportunity to assume real responsibilities and gain
real-world work experience. Within each of our strategic business units,
participants are given challenging work projects designed to expose students
to opportunities and stretch their academic knowledge.  With projects
specifically chosen to both challenge and develop participants, our Interns
will gain valuable real-world experiences working in their respective line of
business/function as well as learn to work together in collaborative teams.

Each rotation provides the opportunity for students to join a new business
unit with leaders eager to share in your progress and development throughout
the program, helping support your personal and professional growth. In
addition to a manager, each Intern is provided with a mentor for the summer.

During our 10-12 week program, Interns across different business lines will
participate in meaningful work within their field of study. In addition, they
will have the chance to attend Intern programming including:

·       Robust onboarding and training curriculum designed specifically for
Interns

·       Full commitment from top-level management to make our program the
premier internship experience within manufacturing

·       Executive Leader Speaker series

·       Learning and Development workshops focused on professional
etiquette, business acumen skills, enhancing leadership, and building
networks within the organization

·       Overviews of PPG’s Strategic Business Units

·       In person and virtual networking events

·       National Intern Day Celebration

·       Volunteer Opportunities

·       Cross functional projects

·       End of Internship Presentations

Tracks could include rotations focused in:

Analytics, Business Administration, Business Analysis
Engineering (Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, Materials
Science, and more)
Chemistry, Research and Development, Processing and Testing
Digital
Environmental Heath and Safety
Finance
Human Resources
IT
Supply Chain
Research and Development

Requirements:
Selection Criteria for PPG Primers – Apply if you meet the requirements!

To qualify for this level of our Primers program, students must be a in their
junior or senior year of school and graduating between December 2024 and
April 2026.

In addition, students must:

Be a full-time undergraduate student and maintain a 3.2 GPA.
Ability to relocate within the US for each rotation and work a minimum of 10
weeks in each rotation.
Be a citizen of the U.S. or possess authorization to work in the United
States on a permanent basis.
Demonstrate Leadership Potential, Strong Communication Skills, and Interest
in a career with PPG
To continue within the program, students must maintain enrollment in one of
the above listed programs and keep the GPA requirement.
